Beyt - Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Beyt! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Beyt app and its features, including prayer time reminders, mosque and prayer room map, Quran reading and listening, Qibla direction, and the Beyt AI. By using the app, you agree to comply with these Terms.

2. User Eligibility

  • Users must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
  • By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Privacy and Data Usage

We respect your privacy and collect minimal data to ensure the app’s functionality:

  • Location Data: Only needed when you use the Qibla Finder or search for nearby mosques and prayer rooms. Location data is not stored or shared.
  • Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to gather anonymous statistics for improving app performance. No personally identifiable information is collected or shared.

4. User-Generated Content

Users can contribute to the app by adding mosque and prayer room locations to the map. By doing so, you agree:

  • To provide accurate and respectful content.
  • That Beyt has the right to review, edit, or remove user submissions if they violate these Terms or applicable laws.

5. Payment and Subscription

  • Beyt+ subscriptions are optional and provide access to premium features.
  • All payments are processed securely through App Store and Google Play Store payment gateways.
  • Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled in accordance with your platform’s guidelines.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds for in-app purchases and subscriptions can only be processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform.
  • Beyt cannot directly process refunds as all payments are handled by these platforms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content and features within the Beyt app are the intellectual property of Beyt. Users are prohibited from copying, distributing, or creating derivative works without explicit permission.

7. Liability Disclaimer

The Beyt app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Beyt is not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from the use of the app.

8. AI Usage and Limitations

Beyt AI is designed to provide general guidance on Islamic and Quranic topics. While we strive for accuracy, its responses may not always be complete or error-free. Users are encouraged to consult qualified scholars for specific religious rulings or detailed questions. All user interactions with Beyt AI are treated with privacy in mind and are not stored for personal identification. Users agree not to use Beyt AI for purposes that are harmful, disrespectful, or violate these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Users are encouraged to review these Terms regularly.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Beyt operates. By using the app, you agree to comply with applicable local laws.
